RHS Chatsworth Great Conservatory features Scotscape Living Walls
Scotscape are delighted to have supplied the Living Walls which are at the very centre of the Great Conservatory feature at RHS Chatsworth. Designed by Dave Green of Dave Green Gardens in his capacity within the RHS show team, the tower measures 5m high and is 2m on each side. A total of 40 panels of the Scotscape Living Wall system has been applied and these have been planted with 2000 plants by Dave’s wonderful team. The magnificent orchids which complete the wall and are also floating above the display have been installed by the florist Jonathan Moseley and his team. The entire installation creates a fantastic centre piece for the show!
It is wonderful to see the living wall system used to support such a fantastic floral display. Owing to its lightweight and flexible credentials our system is perfect not only for commercial and domestic permanent projects, but lends itself very well to events such as RHS Chatsworth to create a really eye-catching feature.
Plants are great for our health and well-being – as we become ever more urbanised, incorporating smart planting on vertical services makes a lot of sense. Valuable ground level space can be saved whilst using walls to the max! Green roofs also offer a perfect antidote to urban living – allowing gardens to be created in the sky.
