A Private Garden Designed by Johanna Gibbon
The awkward access meant removing 6 skips of waste in bags and importing a similar amount of bagged topsoil thus illustrating the effort involved in constructing this project.
Crossley sawn 6 sided York stone with bespoke bullnosed steps, tumbled Yorkstone setts and matching crushed York gravel set the theme for the garden.
Brickwork and hardwood sleepers were used to form the retaining walls and a new closeboard fence was erected on both sides of the garden. The middle terrace was laid to lawn, whilst the top terrace set out as a curved seating area. The garden was fully planted to complete the transformation.
